Sigma Spa Cleansing Glove | Product Review

Cost: $35US

The Sigma Spa Cleansing Glove is a textured rubber glove which you can use to help clean your makeup brushes more thoroughly each week. It comes in two version, one with a single thumb and one with two thumbs so you can use either side with either hand, it also comes in four colors. Each side of the glove had a specific style of brush it cleans best, one side is for large facial brushes and the other side is for delicate eye brushes.

I bought the spa cleansing glove (with my own moneys) from the Sigma site a few weeks ago after they had given me a sample as a free gift from a previous order which I really enjoyed using.
So the full sized version that I got has two sides one for face brushes and one for eye or detail brushes and both sides have several textured surfaces which each have a particular purpose for perfecting the wash cycle of your brushes.

Let me just say, this product works SO GOOD! It gives irrefutable results, honestly I would consider it an investment in the longevity and maintenance of your brushes which are not exactly cheap in the first place. This product should be used as directed for the best results using all descriptions of the pad as indicated by their labels for the best cleaning results. When used this way I can honestly say that my brushes have never come out cleaner and my makeup application is better for it.

My only regret is that I wish now that I had of splurged a little extra and paid for the 2x Sigma Spa Glove which has thumbs on either side for ambidextrous cleaning. It would be a whole lot easier to use and I recommend definitely recommend getting that version!

My other issue is the price, it makes it very difficult to purchase, particularly in Australia when you add shipping because it is at the a higher price than you would expect to pay for an accessory however I still have to say it’s worth it considering the improvement it can make to how you clean your makeup brushes.

I have a video using the Sigma Spa Glove as well as other advice and products which I use to clean my makeup brushes which you can watch here

Let me know what you think of this product if you have one or are considering getting one, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

NYX Golden Horizons Pack Review

Product: NYX Golden Horizons Pack

Cost: $34.99

NYE Instagram look @msdilettantish

As some of you may know from watching my Haul I got the NYX Golden Horizons Pack for Christmas from my Fiance last year. So i have decided to go through the whole pack with you and break down the contents of the pack and let you know if its a worthwhile bargain.

If you are interested in seeing how I have used this product below is a video from my YouTube channel using this whole pack and only NYX products. If you do stick around for it, please like and subscribe!

The pack contains the Dream Catcher Palette, a Powder Blush, Eye/Eyebrow Pencil, Mascara, Butter Gloss and a Lipstick. To me, this combination of cosmetics is a great basic pack to create any look day or night for any person no matter what eye color or skin tone.

The products themselves are mostly of a high quality and are mostly from NYX regular line of products. The price of the pack compared to buying these items individually was significantly cheaper and great value for money.

The Products!

NYX Powder Blush PB32 Apricot

This blush is a beautiful apricot pink, great for light to medium skin tones and has a light build-able coverage. The blush has a small amount of shimmer in it but in a 'glow from within' way. This is the kind of shade which works with all makeup looks and will be great addition to a makeup kit.

NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil 901 Black

This pencil was the biggest let down in the whole pack. It was to kohl to work as an eyebrow pencil and pulled too much to work as an eyeliner well in addition to having no staying power in the water line. My favorite eyeliners are made by NYX so I had high hopes for this product but it felt like this was the product which saved them money in the pack or was a filler.

NYX Le Chick Flick Water-Proof Mascara MBC05

I have mixed feelings about this mascara, the color, volume length that it gave where excellent so i should love it. The results even looking back in pictures was lovely BUT the toxic smell really makes me not reach for this ever since I got it. The smell of bleach which is so strong it makes your eyes water is such i massive oversight that its hard to get past for me.

NYX Dream Catcher Palette

This Dream Catcher Palette is the best thing about this pack by far and i am Obsessed with it!!! It's honestly so gorgeous i really am so glad that I have this now, it's perfect for travel due to the compartment and the variety yet compatibility of the colors, its dramatic and neutral and my most favorite thing of all its neither too warm or too cool tone. Its the perfect palette! The shadows could be of a higher quality as you can see from the swatch but once they are on your eyes they work great and for the price your paying its better than the money your putting up for it. So happy with this Dream Catcher Palette!

NYX Butter Gloss Tiramisu BLG07

Tiramisu is yet another beautiful butter gloss from NYX. The color is beautiful and a neutral caramel which is a "your own lips but better" kind of a color which I love. The quality is on par with all other NYX Butter Gloss which in my opinion is PERFECTION!

NYX Extra Creamy Lipstick Violet Ray LSS561

Violet Ray is a beautiful color which is somewhere between a Vampy Plum and a Berry tone,it has a sheer build-able coverage and is highly moisturizing on the lips. This is a beautiful lipstick and an excellent conclusion to this pack.

NYX Golden Horizons pack is definitely worth its price, all products are workable with most being highly desirable products which are of excellent quality. I really love what NYX have done with this holiday pack and i hope they bring out more to Australia.

Grungy smoked eye with nude lip

I'm Hello party people in da house! Today I went for a 90's style grunge eye BUT with a nude lip to tone the look down a little on my eyes I used nyx Je Ne Sais Quoi and Madeleines and macaroons palettes and for my lips I used a combo of Maybelline "Brazen Beige" with Nyx Butter Gloss in "Creme Brûlée". Can you tell I'm going through a bit of a Nyx obsession over here right now? Lol

Anyway if your liking the look let me know leave some comments and some suggestions and I'll see you all next time!!!

I love and am totally obsessed with watching beauty video's and beauty vloggers on YouTube. There is just something so wonderful and helpful about actually seeing someone apply the make-up right there in front of you! Plus the personal tips and tricks which they add in are fantastic whether you are a beginner or a profession.

So this is my list of my all time favorite YouTube Beauty Guru's!

1. Lauren Curtis!

A fellow Aussie, this blonde bombshell from Bondi is a profession but presents all her videos in a really relaxed style and focuses on the makeup rather than on herself which i really love! She currently has over 2 million subscribers and counting and is definitely worth your time particularly for her tips on foundation and blending eye shadows.

2. Missglamorazzi

MissGlamorazzi aka Ingrid Nilson is possibly the sweetest vlogger on YouTube! She is adorable and so genuine i love her to pieces! On top of that she also has a really funky but casual sense of style and has great recommendations for products for your whole body as well as the usual make-up and hair tutorials. Her beauty style is really natural and playful and is something that anyone can learn from when trying to create their own style. She also does really delicious food videos which are super healthy to boot!

3. Juicystar07

Juicystar07, otherwise known as Blair Fowler is a vlogger and model who has really fun videos on make up and wardrobe but i love her for her hair tutorials! 5. Emma Pickles

Emma Pickles is a beautiful Brit whose striking makeup videos are show a huge range of styles including character makeup, off beat style and basic looks for everyday wear. Beauty Product - Préférence Wild Ombrés - L'Oréal Paris

Hello Everyone!

So yesterday I decided that it was time to change my hair, I have had the same hair style for years now and it is overdue for a mix up so I decided to try out Préférence Wild Ombrés - L'Oréal Paris.

The pack I bought is for very dark hair and it comes with everything you need so i wont tell you how to apply it because you can get that information, if you choose to try this product, from the box.

So as you can see from the pictures... this product did NOT work!
HOWEVER...
The applicator brush which comes with it is amazing for getting a really beautiful smooth transition from dark to light and for adding in highlights as you work the product up your hair. I left the product in for the full 45 minutes after i had finished applying and it took my over 10 minutes to apply so my ends should be white! but they are basically brown, which is sad...
Basically i would recomend you buy this just for the applicator brush but you are probably going to need to do a few applications if you have any hair-dye in your hair from previous treatments because to strip the colour is going to take a much stronger mix of bleach unfortunately.
Good try L'Oreal, but not for me.
